The Exercise Conumdrun

It's funny how things go sometimes. I was doing so well on my exercise program; weights and aerobics in the morning, yoga and pilates at night. I was feeling awesome and looking awesome; muscles starting to pop on my legs and arms. Then I decided to change things up, I wanted to focus more on the upper body for weight training and get more aerobics in (after all I'm in this to lose weight). Since then things have been kind of sloppy. I missed some days; haven't weight trained near enough; no gotten any exercise at all some days; and spend 2 days feeling like crap. So, I need to lay out an exercise routine and stick to it for the next week; if I don't like it I'll change it next week. So the program will be as follows:

Sunday: mini-triathlon
Monday- am aerobics pm weights
Tuesday - am step pm yoga
Wednesday - am aerobics pm weights
Thursday - am step pm pilates
Friday - am aerobics pm weights
Saturday - long bike ride or walk/run
Sunday - am aerobics pm mini-tri

Okay, I like that schedule. I will allow myself one day off of my choosing. I like this, I think I can foloow up with this for the week and see how I feel at the end. I was a little afraid I was getting obsessed by exercise but I think I'm a ways from that yet.

Okay, now it's time to face the music; it' s off to WW.......

Of weight loss and aging dogs..........

So it's been a few days since I've posted here; I've been busy. On Monday I got the FitDay home version and I've been faithfully filling it out every day and it's been a real eye opener. I burn way more calories than I consume BUT I consume more than I should. So now that I have a week of fairly accurate records under my belt I am going to fine tune it and bring my calorie intake down to a normal level. I want to lose these last 12 lbs by the end of the year. Weigh-in yesterday went well, I'm down 1.2 lbs. WOOHOOO!!!!!

Had to take Mana to the vet last night. She's got a scratch on her cornea and her eye was all goopey. The vet also gave her some Rimadyl for her arthritis. We noticed on the walk last night that she was slowing down even more than usual. It's so sad to see your pets getting old. I don't want anything to happen to her but she's 13 and it's really only a matter of time now. She's gone deaf and is developing cataracts in both her eyes. It just breaks my heart.

That's about all I have to say. I need to run to the store to get supplies. We're heading out to the sand bar today to watch the Blue Angels and it looks like it's going to be just an awesome day. I'm really looking forward to it!!!!!

Conversation with Hubby

So yesterday morning I presented my idea of working out at home to the Hubby. Once I presented it to him, he said he was in. I told him I h...
