I found it!!!

And I hadn't even realized I lost it, but once it was back I realized how much I had missed it.

I stopped to run on the way home. I did the same loop I did Friday night. I was doing this for a couple of reasons. I wanted to see if I could run 2 days in a row, I have not done that in a very long time. I can. I also wanted to get back on my training schedule of Mon and Weds runs.

So I stop to run, get my shoes on and get all ready to go. God, I did not feel like it. I did my 4/1 run/walk interval, so I hit my watch and started running. It was hard. My legs felt like lead and my breathing felt like I had asthma, ugh it was agony!!!

I got to my first walk interval and was so damn happy I could have cried. That minute was over all too soon and I started running again. Hmmmm, something happened, it felt better this time. My next walk interval came rather quickly. It was time to run again and I was starting to feel good, really good. The walk intervals were coming faster and faster (or so it seemed). During the 5th run interval it all fell into place. My stride straightened itself out, my breathing evened out, my feet were barely touching the ground, I was moving through the air like a knife through melted butter. Oh my god did it feel good!!!!!

By the time I was nearing the end of my run it had all returned. I don't know what to call it but it was back. It was easier to run than to walk. As I neared my car I turned the afterburners on and raced to my car. It was awesome.

I ran the same loop as Friday 1 minute faster. How awesome is that??? Dude if I can knock 1 minute off my loop every run, by January I'll be done before I start -- hahaha!!!!

Anyway, awesome run and a great way to end a great day.

Practice makes perfect! I wish I was with you on this. We'll just have to keep working at it! And why is it those workouts we dread the most sometimes turn out the best? Great run! (Ha ha! I was reading your blog while you were responding to mine!)

I think it's a sad thing that most of the population can't appreciate the euphoria of a good run like Flo had today. They are SO missing out!

Sounds like a good run. Wish I could run near the beach! Winter blahs going on over here, I guess. I haven't gotten to that place, the run, where I feel real good yet. Maybe just a little the other day but I get bored w/ the indoor track but it's better than the treadmill.
I had a dream quite a while back of me running effortlessly and enjoying it. And at the time, I was like, what was that? I don't run? But now I do, miracles can happen. Couch to 5k is my plan, ha.
