Time to move on

Okay, I have got to get back on track. My planned walk this morning was called on account of rain. It has been raining here all day. Since I was waiting for my car to get fixed, I ended up sitting in Starbuck's reading my journal articles for school. It wasn't what I planned but I did get that assignment done :)

Tomorrow it starts again. I'm going to go back to creating a list every night for what I'm going to do the next day. So for tomorrow:
  • 45 minutes on the elliptical
  • clean the bird cages
  • make dog biscuits
  • do laundry
  • go to bird club meeting
That's all. Pretty easy. All I have to do is do it.

Also, I haven't worn my BodyBugg for 4 days or tracked my food all week. Tomorrow that all begins again. I have absolutely got to get back on track and it starts tomorrow.

Alright, that's over

This week has just been brutal. I've had a small head cold that wasn't that bad but just completely zapped my energy. I would come home at 3 and have to lie down for a half hour or so. Then by 9 pm I would be completely wiped out and head off to bed. It was terrible. The good news is I feel much better tonight. I'm hoping to get a good night's sleep and be back to my old self tomorrow.

So what does that mean, back to my old self? Good question. I have got to get back into working out. Tomorrow I have to take my car in (yeah, another long story) and I'm thinking of taking a walk around Kailua town. Or I could take the journal articles I have to read and sit and read them. No, I think I'll walk around providing it isn't pouring rain like it's supposed to. I'll start with a walk and on Monday I'm back to strength training.

Tonight however is another rest night. To bed early and be ready to tackle the day tomorrow.

Are we there yet??

Spring break I mean. I'm wiped out. This schedule is just killing me. I can't imagine what I'd be like if I was still working full time. Ugh!!!!

Well, Tuesday I started to feel like I was coming down with something. My sinuses are aching and I have a bit of a cough. I was afraid I was going to get really sick, but it seems to have settled into a small head cold. That I can live with.

I've fallen behind again in my school work and it's only Wednesday.

Writing a lesson plan for a daily class is hard. I actually had a whole unit plan done prior to starting teach the unit. But, as I'm sure is typical, I've had to adjust everyday because I got further then I thought or didn't get as far as I thought I would. So basically I'm re-writing my lesson plans everyday. Ugh!!!

Friday is gearing up to be an absolute insane day. It looks like I will be running myself ragged between 8 and 12. Once noon passes all will be calm. Doesn't it always work that way, feast or famine?

I am taking the third of four tests I have to pass for teaching in 10 days. WTF was I thinking???

Okay, I have stuff to do and rest to get before tomorrow.

A quick update

Mondays and Tuesdays are by far my worse days. I have high school in the mornings and I get done around noon. Then I have class at night and it seems no matter how hard I try and plan I still end up with hours of work to do right before class. Ugh!!!!

So Saturday I got out the door for a nice walk. Sunday I got out the door for a nice walk. Yesterday morning I did 20 minutes on the elliptical before work and got a nice walk in before lunch. Yea!! That's all good. Then last night I started getting a little drip in the back of my throat. It's been really windy here for about a week and my sinuses have been bugging me so I didn't think too much of it. But I woke this morning with a stuffy nose and sore throat. Ugh!!!! I did not work out and I think I'm going to pick up a Neti pot on my way home. I just do not have the time or energy to be sick right now. I need to hold off till spring break.

I have a presentation due tonight which I have not started so I probably won't have time to do anything between high school and class tonight. I have to write the paper and make the presentation, but first I have to figure out what the heck I'm writing about.

I'm off to get ready for work. I figured this will be the quietest time I have all day so I thought I'd post.

Put one foot in front of the other.....

So yesterday went pretty darn good. I headed out for a walk and ended up going for an hour and 10 minutes. Cool. Food was okay. Saturday's are hard because Hubby is home and he makes good stuff :) If I'm alone I'll throw together a salad or a wrap and call it a day. Not him. Yesterday we had hamburgers on these killer buns....Yummm.... Then for dinner last night we had bratwurst and potato pancakes.....Yummm...... Okay, so yesterday I ate a little too much. My calorie intake was around 2500 while my calorie expenditure was around 2200. Not good, but instead of beating myself up over it I'm going to try harder today. My daily goal is to burn about 2300 cals and consume no more then 1800. That would put me at a 500 cal deficit a day which would lead to a pound a week lose. I could be very, very happy with that. Okay, I need to head out on my walk so let's see what the plan is today.
  • Walk
  • Clean house
  • Do schoolwork
  • Get everything ready for tomorrow
  • Stretching/Yoga (which I completely forgot about last night)
Not too tough. So I'm heading out on my walk, I'll check back in later.
