The best laid plans

So I had every intention of starting my tracking again today.  I got up this morning, made coffee then logged it in my tracker.  Made myself a banana with peanut butter and logged it in my tracker.  Then had to go to a seminar. There was muffins.  And lunch.  And I did not log anything.  And the day is gone. So tomorrow.  Definitely tomorrow......

Another week ends...

without much comment from me. Well it seems we have all adjusted to having the puppy around. I, however, have used it as an excuse to be a slacker. I have not worked out or logged my food once this week. What I apparently never posted about last week was that I lost 3 lbs. And I know it was all because of writing everything down. I had the best intentions this week but then I left my tracker at school and then I couldn't remember where it was...I was just like one of my students. In what is by no means a defense just a small reason, I have not worked out because my left heel is killing me. I have been in pain all week because of this stupid heel. But I am done with not working out. I need to move and I need to do it soon. I got a new workout DVD - Bob Harper - and I'm thinking I may give it a go tonight. I have fallen into this terrible routine. I come home from work, walk the dogs, sit around on the computer for an hour or so, eat dinner, do the dishes, lie on the couch. That's it. Not good, not good at all. I don't even take off my natural make up. So it's time to get moving. I won't be going to WW this week (which is probably good) because I have a math conference in the morning. But starting tomorrow it's back to tracking and working out. The Great Aloha Run is Monday so I'll be getting in at least 8 miles :)

Where did the week go?

Last time I wrote here was Tuesday. I had had a major epiphany on the way to work and I was turning over a new leaf. I got home Tuesday and went for a run. Yeah!!! I went for a run on Wednesday. When I got back from my run and checked my email the very foundation of my world shifted. Something I had wanted for years was finally being offered to me. Something I had basically given up ever thinking I would get was offered to me. On a silver platter. OMG!!! What was this fabulous thing you may ask??? This:

That little puppy is Bella. We picked her up on Friday night and she is just the best. She is a greater Swiss mountain dog, a very rare breed here in the islands. She is about 13 weeks old and will grow to be 70-80 lbs. I am absolutely in love with her already.

It's interesting having a puppy around the house again. She isn't so good on her feet and gets all tangled up in her long legs. We may need to get some non slip rugs to put down until she is more steady on her feet.

Friday night was rough, I got very little sleep as I slept with her in the spare room. Thankfully last night she basically slept through the night and I got some rest. She also made it through the night without going potty in the house. I have papers and stuff down for her but that was awesome.

So, yeah, training and working out completely derailed by an 18 lb puppy.

Conversation with Hubby

So yesterday morning I presented my idea of working out at home to the Hubby. Once I presented it to him, he said he was in. I told him I h...
