4/15/11 - Today is my 52nd birthday and today my just one day begins..... Today I did hill repeats in the driveway. I did 10 in 15 minutes. Breathing hard and shaking legs when I was done. Definitely awesome. I ate 2750 cals and burned 2353 cals so far. I took 12,244 steps, covered 5.41 miles.....Awesome, well not the food part.....
4/18/11 - Just one day...for just today I decided to get up at 4:30 and workout, track everything I ate, and walk a lot. It worked. I burned 2500 calories, I walked 12,500 steps or 5.2 miles. I ate 1870 calories. Not too bad at all. Best part is I felt darn good.
4/20/11 - For just one day I got up at 4:30 to work out. Today was cardio day and I did the first 20 minutes of the cardio DVD. It was hard but not impossible. I ate well and had a good day.
4/22/11 - Just one day I decided to get up and do yoga. It's was an hour of intense yoga. This is not your mamby-pamby yoga. This is a freaking workout. Felt really good to stretch so much though. Eating today was not so great. I had the day off and there are these cupcakes that were calling my name.....But it was just one day....
4/23/11 - Ummm...today I got my butt handed to me. The schedule called for Bob's Workout #1. Right. There were moves I couldn't even do. One move was sitting from a standing position - straight down - roll on your back then roll right up back to standing. Ummmm.....no. First my legs don't bend that way and I can not get my feet under me enough to stand up, so that move was particularly ugly. The other move was a Turkish get-up.
However this was not the way the girl on the video was doing it. She was going straight down, like the previous ones, with her arm extended. So I couldn't do these either. I did do one on each side to give it a try. So this workout really kicked my butt, but at least I have concrete goals to work towards.
5/1/11 - Well last week certainly was a non-starter but that's okay. It's over and done with and I'm not going to think about it. I'm only going to think about today. So today I'm recommitting to my just one day attitude. Just for today I'm going to workout and track my eating...Just One Day.....
5/14/11 - That last attempt didn't last long. I don't think I made it through the day. Oh well, life is all about learning right?? Started with Bob's Cardio. Did the full hour even though I thought I was going to puke. I did keep it on the easy side but I got through it.
7/23/11 - Well, it's been awhile. It actually was a pretty busy summer - okay, I'm lying, it wasn't busy at all. I had time for a nap every single day. I had time to play my FB games, every single day. I had time to spend a whole lot of time on my ass, either sitting right here or lying down. So this summer I was a slug. A complete and total slug. Well, summer is over. School starts on Monday and I feel very sluglike and squishy like the Pillsbury doughboy. Enough. So for just one day - today - I'm going to workout, eat right, and not eat dessert. Just One Day is today.
