163 is where I'm starting....

Over at Renee's site she's having a little 6 week challenge and I've joined it. The plan is to lose 5 lbs by Labor Day. Since I forgot to weight myself yesterday I weighed this morning and that's where I'm starting. So 5 lbs would take me down to 158. I'd really like to hit 155 so maybe I'll secretly shoot for that.....

I am over my muscle soreness. The Firm on Saturday really killed me. Going for a long ass bike ride on Sunday didn't really help matters. Yesterday morning I could hardly get out of bed; so instead of aerobics as planned I walked on the treadmill for 45 mins or so. Even walking was hard my butt hurt so bad. This morning things were much better so I did The Firm again and although I could feel all my muscles I wasn't in agony.

Eating has been going really well. It really is like something has finally clicked in my head and I get it. I don't crave sweets or fatty stuff like I thought I used to. I really would prefer to eat healthy. In general it just tastes better and makes me feel way better. I did have Chinese food tonight, but hey, I can't be perfect all the time :)

Work has been insanely crazy for the past 2 weeks and it looks like it will be this week also. I haven't been getting my swimming in and I'm using work as my excuse; lame I know but the only one I got. I need to start swimming again though my tri is only about 8 weeks away. Hey, that's another good reason to lose 5 lbs - it will be easier to run and bike if I'm thinner......

Okay, I'm exhausted I have to go to bed NOW!!!!

Thanks so much for dropping in on my blog...nice to finally hear from someone here on Oahu...sometime I'm not sure the other people (non Hawaii residents) understand the importance of food in our life...being that I was born and raised here, rice is very difficult for me to give up...hope I make it through the first 5 lbs...little steps hopefully will add up to big steps...

I'm adding your blog to my favorites for inspiration.

It's over ...

... and I could not be happier. This week went by much quicker than last week, but there was so much more to do I was exhausted all week. P...
