I'm like Oprah,

in that I don't believe in coincidences. I firmly believe things happen for a reason, and while it may seem like the worst thing in the world and you have no idea how this could be good, it usually turns out that way in the end. Well, something like that happened to me this morning. I can feel myself sinking into depression over it even though I know this really will be a good thing. I don't want to go into it now, not until I have worked out plan B. But if you don't hear from me much over the next few weeks this is why.

Now, on to triathlon stuff. Yesterday I received my copy of Total Immersion and of course immediately started reading it. One thing I noticed right away is that all the stuff he's (I think it's a he) talking about is stuff I've discovered on my own over the last 2 months. The initial thing was balance in the water. How you need to press down kind of with your chest and this will bring your legs up and thereby make you more streamline. I had discovered that a couple of weeks ago and it seriously increased my speed. I've also been working on gliding and rolling some and he talks about that. Anyway, I think it will be good, just refining things I've found. This way I won't have to recreate the wheel.....

This mornings swim was so-so. I got my depressing news before my swim so my mind was distracted. I did about 1500 m in about 45 minutes so it wasn't a total loss. I was trying to work on the TI stuff but my mind keep drifting back to my situation and I'd find myself just bobbing along so it was not a great swim.

Okay, I can't write anymore. I need to think and plan and try to figure out what the hell I'm going to do.......

Whatever it is Flo, we're pulling for you. Keep the training going - it'll clear the mind and help with the stress.

Just know that we are thinking of you and hoping it is not as bad as it seems...

B.O.P. is right...keep up your training. It will help.

Hang in there! And listen to the Flatman. :-)

On the TI stuff, I find that if I concentrate on keeping my head down that works better for my balance than thinking about my chest. Just seems to have more of an effect on lifting my feet up.

Best wishes from all your faithful readers!!

Like you said..."everything happens for a reason". It will all work itself out for the best. In the meantime, continue to take good care of yourself in all ways.

Things always work out, just not always when we would like them to. Hang in there and remember you can always bounce a few ideas around out here in blogland.

Absolutely keep up with your training. Even if you only make 30 minutes a day, and even if all you can make time for is a walk. It'll help keep everything else balanced and in perspective.

I hope things get settled much sooner than you're expecting!

Another week down

Well the first week back from spring break wasn't bad at all. I was looking forward to the weekend though, so I'm very glad it'...
