A running plan that is. I'm doing 8.2 miles in February and 10 miles in March. It's hard to find training plans for those distances. The 8.2 miles is the distance from Aloha Tower to Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. The 10 miler is part of the Hilo Marathon. I won't be ready to do a marathon by March but I sure can do the 10 miles. I'm doing it with my boss, Wendy. But I need a training plan!!!!
If anyone knows of a good plan, let me know. I'm off to surf the web for one then it's straight to my foam mattress for a good nights sleep.

Have you read Daniel's Running Formula? I live and die by that book in terms of running. I think he has a plan for the 1/2 marathon in that book, which is pretty close to your 10 miler. Ten is my fav. distance to race! Have fun wtih it... Also, congrats on your first race of the year!
I'll have to think of something. You've already done a 10k, so it should be easy to maintain that distance at least once a week. I usually like to train a little farther than the planned distance, and in this case by doing that you can kill two birds with one stone, your 8 mile and your 10 mile runs. I would maintain the 10k distance for the next 2 weeks and then go to 7 and then to 7.5 and then to 8. Then hold at 8 for a couple of weeks and go up again. If you have time that is. Otherwise, you can do like I do and just go from zero to 60 in a month. LOL! Not the best way to train.
