I can be such a dork

Leaving my house on every run I have a choice, right or left. If it's still dark out I go left towards the main street. When I hit the main street I have a choice, left or right. I usually go right. I don't know exactly why, but I do. As I was running along this morning I was thinking about this and wondering why I always go the same way. I was thinking to myself how I know every little crack and bump in the path this way. I know this way so well I could probably do it with my eyes closed. As I was finishing this thought I found myself sitting on the ground. Turns out I missed the bump where the concrete sidewalk meets the asphalt path. Guess I don't know this way as good as I though :)

That's it for running until my race on Monday. I'll swim tomorrow and probably ride my bike on Saturday, but Sunday is a total rest day and Monday at 7:00am is the big race. As I was running this morning, watching my footing, I came up with a goal. Last year I did this race in 1:54. That is almost 14 minutes/mile. Since I've want to push myself I'm going to shoot for 12 minute/miles. That would give me a time of approximately 1:37. Not bad and considering I'm much healthier than I was last year at this time I think it's totally doable.

So I'm totally loving the new template and it's going to stay, at least for a while. I will be making some changes over the next couple of days, but basically it's a keeper.

Oh right, it's Valentine's Day, or amateur day. Commodore said it much better then I ever could, so I'll defer to him on this one. But have a happy if that rings your bell.

I love your new template too! Someday I will have to have you redo my blog (when you have time). I am so clueless on how to do stuff. Good luck on the run. Start slow and build steam as you go along. If you start slower in the beginning, you will feel better and be able to push it at the end. And I'm betting you're stronger than you were last year, which should transfer to faster too. Good luck!

Time for a change?

So I started this little business about 1.5 years ago. The idea was to make a little side business that would keep me busy when I retire. I...
