It has been. I am just extremely thankful that it was only 4 days long. I am in need of a 3 day weekend.
This afternoon we were having a conversation about smoking in the faculty room. Turns out there is one teacher that smokes. I found that so amazing that I still can't get over it. I know so few people who still smoke now, it's a real shocker when I meet someone who does. We were talking about how to quit. Seems almost everyone in the room had smoked at one time, but we all quit a long time ago. We discussed all the various ways to stop smoking. One person just went cold turkey. She just decided one day that she was done smoking and quit. I thought that was awesome. When I quit smoking it took a long time and a number of tries. I tried everything; the patch, gum, pills, etc. What finally worked for me was hypnosis. Really, hypnosis. I went in for an hour session and I walked out and never smoked again. I still get cravings from time to time, and I haven't smoked in 20 years, but I have never given in.
The interesting thing about this entire conversation was that the smoker is the one who constantly talks about her health and what she eats and working out, etc....I find it interesting that the one most worried about her health is the smoker. Maybe her health would not be such a concern if she quit smoking...Hmmm.....
