A Personal Record
Today at Crossfit was one of those days. I just felt good and I felt like pushing it to the limit. The workout was 5 rounds for time: 3 burpee deadlifts, 2 burpee power cleans, 1 burpee clean & jerk. The idea was to use heavy weights to make it a brutal workout. On Wednesday I PR'd clean & jerks at 100# and I decided to do 95# for this workout. You have no idea how hard it was. But I did it. I pushed through, I forced myself to continue and I did it. I felt like a freaking rock star. I still do kind of.
After that, I had to go into town and sign some papers for a part-time job I start tomorrow. Then I picked up a friend and went to Waikiki and took pictures. It was fun and I got some great shots.
When I got home I found I had some lingering wrist pain. It's not bad enough to stop me from working out, but it is annoying. One of the guys at the gym let me try a wrist wrap he uses and it's pretty awesome. I ordered a pair earlier. I think they will help with my weak wrists. When I was searching for them, I got an ad for morgan silver dollars. Really???? Not sure how that's related but then I don't always understand Google's results.
Well, it's off to bed for me. I start my new job tomorrow. Woo Hoo.....
