It's been....2 weeks.....

And so much has been going on, I just have not had the energy or desire to write. So, what have I been doing? Well, I've been doing Crossfit, working, presenting at seminars and meetings, buying a new car, and other things. Clearly, I've been too busy to sit here and write.

One item at a time. I got a car because I was completely and totally over riding the bike. Since school went back, it's been cold in the mornings and raining and I was just done with riding the bike. I found a very nice used VW for $10,000. Sweet. It's really great. Economical too. I've gone around 150 miles and haven't even used 1/2 a tank of gas. Much, much better than the Mustang.

Crossfit is interesting. I am totally loving it, but it doesn't always love me. I have weeks where I'm on top of the world and totally kicking ass. Then the next week I have trouble lifting an empty bar. I guess that's the way it goes. But I am getting stronger and seeing changes. There are only 2 or 3 pairs of pants that I can't fit into now. When I look at my arms from up here, I see muscles. Lots and lots of muscles. It is completely worth every cent and ounce of sweat and agony.

Work has been going pretty darn well. I seem to have reached a point where I really have things under control. That is kind of scary since that isn't typical for me. But I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Presentations everywhere. I had to make a presentation at a faculty meeting at school. Then, the next day, I had to make a presentation to all of the Catholic educators on the island. So both of those took a while to prepare for.

Those are the main things. Other little things along the way, but nothing I can't handle. I am anxious waiting to start my PhD program. Once I decide on something, I just want to get it done. But I also know I can't let the wheels fall off the bus like I did with my Masters. But I don't think I will. I think I have a better idea of what I'm getting into, and I think my school has better support.

That's about it. It's amazing that things that have completely filled up 2 weeks of my life can be reduced to a few sentences, but there it is. I'm off to Crossfit this morning, then I have some errands to run later. I also want to get over to Barnes & Noble and spend a gift card I have :)
