Time for a catchup

Well, it's been a few days since I posted here. The last two weeks have been rather busy with all kinds of things.

The week before last was only a 2 day week. I think that two day weeks are almost worse than regular weeks because all the nonsense happens in just 2 days. Anyway. On Monday of that week I thought I was doing the Laveen BBQ craft fair. Then I realized that I might not be due to some screw up. So Tuesday I took it easy, went shopping and generally just fluffed off. Then late Tuesday I heard of a way that I could make it so boom! I was off and running for the week. Now during the weekdays it is  hard to work on any of my crafts. I just don't have the time. So that ruled out Wednesday from getting anything thing done. Then Thursday was open house that I had to attend. I brought some stuff with me that I could work on so that wasn't completely wasted time. I did have all day Friday to work on things, but since I didn't really know what would sell and what wouldn't, it was hard to know exactly what to make. But I worked all day Friday on things and then Friday night we went to see Penn & Teller. They were good. But that made 2 late nights in a row for me. Thursday I got home around 9:30 and Friday we didn't get home until 10:30. Thankfully the craft show wasn't until 9am, but we still had to get up and get everything packed up and head up there. Which we did and we got there late but it all worked out okay. I have never done one of these before so I had no idea how to set things up. It was a very basic set up but it looked good. I focused on selling my tumblers and just had a few coffee cups and wood pieces. The wood pieces actually sold much better than I thought they would. But it was a long 5 hours sitting in the sun most of the day. And I was tired from late nights for the past two nights, yeah it was rough. But I sold more than I thought I would. I had hoped to break even but I ended up making a little bit. So that was nice. I learned a lot about craft fairs. It was my first BBQ - ha!! literally!!! - and I tried to view it as a learning experience. So now I have signed up for 2 more, one at the end of March and one at the end of April. Now I need to spend my weekends working on craft stuff so I have enough for these fairs.

Bottom  line, it was a long, tiring, but good week. Now to start getting ready for the next one.

Faced my fears

So I mentioned that I had gotten some of the cups I ordered. They are Stanley dupes and have gold plating under the powder coating, so when...
