Why???

I use Bloglines to keep up on the blogs I read and overall I'm very happy with it. Sometimes a post doesn't show up or the same post keeps showing up but other than that it's pretty cool.

For the last few days though it's been weirding out. It keeps showing that someone will have 25 new posts and I'll go and look and they are from a year ago. This has happened repeatedly on a number of different blogs. I wonder what's up.

After the last few days with Rocco, I decided I needed to get my butt back in gear. The best way for me to handle things is to keep training, that makes me strong mentally too. So I decided to do the weight workout I missed yesterday. Umm, yeah, not so much. Apparently a week of eating out and 3 days of junk food and little to no water is not conducive to good exercise.

My Saturday workout is a little bootcampish. I will work a muscle group, say shoulders, then do 1 minute of hard cardio, work another muscle group, another minute of hard cardio. You get the idea. Well, every cardio segment sent my HR through the roof. I was having trouble catching my breath and it was taking me an extra long time to recover. About 1/2 way through I was absolutely dripping with sweat, panting like a dog, and bone tired. So I stopped. Who knew that Fritos and salsa and candy bars for dinner would make working out so hard????

I'm guessing a day of good eating, good hydrating, and moderate work is in order. So that's what I'm doing today. I already cleaned house, I'm working on the laundry and I'm carrying around a 50 oz Jamba Juice cup filled with water. I will drink 2 of these today. This should make tomorrow a much better workout.

Okay, that's it for me. I need to clean up this office a little. I have crap spread all over the place.

I sure do feel for you. I hope Rocco does ok. I know when I feel stressed the last thing I want to do is workout but it's usually the best thing for me. Best of luck with the pup.

Hope Rocco gets well soon. I think when you edit a post in your'e blog bloglines reposts it.

It could be the combination of the dog stress and bad eating/no water that is getting to you. I've had that happen a number of times! Good luck with Rocco. And what's with Bloglines? How does that work?

When Blogspot blogs convert to the new Google blog it resets the Bloglines count to 25. So they show up with 25 posts.

Most of the time single posts are repeated on Blogspot is when someone edits an old post.
My heart goes out to you about Rocco. I'm following the saga very closely but can offer nothing but a virtual hug. It's so hard, I know.

Good luck with your workouts

Oh geeze Flo - I haven't had time to check the blogs since last Thursday and was shocked to see so much has happened since then. This is just horrible news about Rocco. I'm sorry that things are not going well.
I became a somewhat bitter over a similar experience with my German Shephard a few year ago. He developed an intestinal tortion and needed emergency surgery or be put down. The surgery was $2,ooo. I asked more questions - how hard is recovery for them - pain endured - chances for recurrence etc. We decided given the high chance for recurrence and painful projected recovery to not go through with it. I was just angry about the whole ordeal. Why are we forced to put a price on the health of our animals? You can't help but feel guilty if you don't opt for surgery - like a cheap skate if you opt out of expensive surgery. If we had gone with the surgery, I'm sure I'd have still felt guilty for putting the dog through the pain. Your damned if you do and damned if you don't. I hated being put into the position af making such a tough decision. I've not had a dog since and probably never will again.
The decisions you make for Rocco WILL be the best for you and him both, I'm just sorry that you have to make them. Keep up posted.

I'm sure you made the right decision for you and Rocco.
It's amazing what stress can do to our bodies-- hopefully you are feeling better. I'm sure your good habits will do their magic.
Hoping for a little magic for Rocco too.
