Actually, these are some of my pet peeves with the written word. When the wrong one of any of these is used it drives me crazy. I was taught as a child, and I still do it to this day, to break the contraction up to see which one to use. If it's the right one, then you can replace it with it is. Anyway, I love these silly tests :)

What is even worse is how the verbal part of English language is being butchered-when I hear high school and college kids try to talk....I cringe
I sucked at grammar, still do. I always got hung up with lie, lay, laid, and just spelling in general. So how much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Maybe if the woodchuck just lies there it won't have to chuck wood at all. It's off season.
