Time for some soul searching

I had lunch with a friend today and it was interesting. As I listened to them complain about work, I couldn't help but notice my own lack of caring about the 'concerns.' There are apparently some people who are very upset at our employer, and I understand that, and this friend seems to think that there will be people leaving. I'm not so sure that is true. This person is in a financial position where they do not have to work, not everyone is in that position. Some people can't just walk away from a job because they are upset with something that happened. But the most surprising thing, to me, was my complete lack of concern about the situation. I was upset about this thing that happened also, but I never considered quitting because the good of this position far outweigh the bad. At one point I even said, I'm just going to stay in my lane and stick to my job. I can't control everything that happens, I can only control how I react or handle it. It was interesti...

Meditative journaling

I'm finding myself in a situation that is all too familiar. I'm looking at other crafts. I ordered some cord to make a dog leash. And I made it yesterday.  It's short and I can't finish it off, but I made it. Now I'm looking at buying a course to make dog collars. I don't want to get into other things. I want to continue with my art and try to make a go of that. I generally start this when I'm getting bored. I'm not bored with my art, I am a little frustrated. My laser is not working right. It's too hot to work in the garage for long. My wrist is still too sore to do anything super  strenuous. So I'm not working on my art and I want to be. So what do I do? Look for something else to work on. I seem to always need something to be working on. I can't just be. Maybe that's good? Maybe it's bad? I don't know. I do know that doing nothing leads me down the road to depression and I do not want that. So I look for things to do. And now ...

Getting better every day

the hand that is. I'm typing with both hands right now, something I haven't been able to do for about 8 weeks.   Today is the 6 week mark for taking off my brace. Considering the pain I was in when I took it off 2 weeks ago, I cannot imagine what I would be like now. Instead of that, I am sitting here almost painfree and getting back to living my life like a normal person. I do have to still be careful as I have stitches in. Those come out next week Thursday. But things are so, so much better. I'm glad I went forward with the surgery.  But that's not why I'm here. I need to figure out a good lesson planner. I have all these cool trackers that I'm using for all kinds of things, I need to figure out one for lesson plans. In order to do that, I need to know what I need/want in a lesson plan. Most of them are too much. I don't need all that information on a lesson planner that I use daily. I need that for things like observations and such, but not for daily use...
